Outfit Post: a picnic the park

All photos by Sam Kelly

Another photo shoot in the park, because this week is just too damn good. It’s been absolutely beautiful, so three of us escaped to read magazines and shoot some outfit photos in the park.

My blogger pals, Audree (Simply Audree Kate)  and Andie (Ginger Snap Blog), and I brought some blankets, box wine and magazines to Central Park and spent the afternoon giggling and trying not to eat the pretzel prop. Well, the last part was a personal struggle, not really a group issue…

The adorable headbands we are rocking are from The Zen Bird. They’re reversible, cute and so cozy. There’s nothing I love more than rocking a headband and putting my hair up instead of spending one hour trying to straighten/curl/tame my hair.

Also, their Instagram constantly contains motivational and empowering quotes in the prettiest fonts… two things that are totally irresistible to me. If that’s true for you too, definitely give them a follow.

This shoot was also fun because you may have noticed I’m wearing a sweater. As much as I hate the fact that winter is slowly sneaking its way into my city, I do love sweater weather. Layering until it looks cute is my motto in life, and it’s much more appropriate in the fall.

Stay tuned for more fall looks and maybe an outfit post outside the park… but probably not.
